My Second Year of Uni Experience!

Image
Woops, its almost been an entire year since I posted anything on here... my apologies!

I was scrolling through my blog and I came across my blog post about my first year of uni experience, and given that I've just gone into my third year of uni (actually already in reading week!), I thought it may be nice to reflect on second year and tell you my experience.

Everyone says second year is a lot more difficult than first year, and for me this was most definitely the case! The workload definitely got harder, but now i'm hoping i'll be more prepared for my third year.

So I guess a major change in second year is living in an actual house, as opposed to student halls. I actually think I preferred living in a house, it made me feel more like an adult, and we just had a lot more room over all.

We definitely did have some issues with our house over the year, but we did make some great memories  and I even got a new tattoo based on a design from a stained glass window in my bedroom. …

Beauty Haul + Mini Review| Kat Von D, Urban Decay, MAC

Hey,
So it is currently a Sunday evening, I'm supposed to be doing my reading for my seminars tomorrow but instead I'm writing this, so at least we've all established I have my priorities straight...
Anyway, last week, I was feeling a "treat yo self" moment (Thanks parks and rec) and I may have got a little carried away, and when I say a little, I spent far too much money, but sshhh....
I've been using all three of these products for the past few days so I thought i'd tell you my thoughts so far.
So firstly now that Kat Von D is in the UK on the Debenhams website, I finally got my hands on the Shade and Light contour kit and I'm honestly in love. The powders are all really pigmented and finely milled, they're so easy to use, they last for ages, and you get instructions on how to contour as well. It was pricey at £36 but I think i'll use it every day, and the colours I cant use for my complexion, I can use as eyeshadows, so win win really.

Thoughts on Second Year so far...

Hey strangers,

Its the 1st of October, which means that I have been back In Brighton for a month now, so I thought i'd update you all on what i've been up to, and how I'm finding second year so far.
So at the beginning of September, I moved into my student house, and I love my bedroom- it has a great view, and its pretty big! Here are some photos....

On the left is our backgarden, the right is my view from my room, as you can tell these were taken on different days....

So, last year, when I was an actual fresher, I didn't really make the most out of freshers week, because I was too nervous, didn't really have loads of friends to go out with, and also I was just being an overall wet wipe, so this year, me and my friends made the group decision that we were going to go out every night, which ended in us all getting the dreaded freshers flu, and we all got pretty tired and cranky, but it was quite funny, and we managed it in the end! Here are a selection of photos... …

My MAC Eye Shadow Palette (Including Makeup Geek)

Image
Hello again,

Today I thought I would blog about one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes I own, because the last two posts haven't really discussed makeup much, and I wanted to...

Everyone, meet my baby. *heart eye emoji* So in this palette I have 5 MAC eye shadows, and the rest are all MakeUp Geek, and I'll be completely honest, I do prefer the Makeup Geek ones, and they work out at about £6 each, compared to the MAC ones which are about £10. I did have to buy little magnets for the Makeup geek (MUG) shadows on ebay, but I got 10 magnets for £2 so it wasn't too bad. Also, I should point out that for about a year I only had the 5 MAC shades, because those 5 alone add up to £50 which is more expensive than a Naked Palette, so when I found Makeup Geek I was very pleased indeed!

I'll show you the swatches now....
